The Kiko is a breed of meat goat originating from New Zealand. Kiko comes from the Māori word for meat. Kiko goats are marked by their tri-colors and outward curling horns. First introduced to the united states in 1992 the Kikos have established themselves as a hardy, parasite-resistant breed with excellent maternal traits.
The Savana meat goat was originally bred in South Africa. Know for their all white fur and black spotted ears, these animals are known for their summer time hardiness. First introduced into the US in 1994 the savans have established themselves as a stocky goat more akin to the traditional Boer goat, but with better parasite resistance.
